Parsa Kamely, PhD
Founder
Parsa is an independent consultant and an instructor at the University of the Fraser Valley. Parsa grew up on a farm located north of Iran where agriculture and farming are every family’s main business. After finishing his bachelor's degree in animal sciences, while working part time in poultry and dairy farms, he decided to continue his education in different aspects of animal nutrition and health.
He completed a master’s degree focused on poultry nutrition and diseases, followed by a PhD in metabolic disorders. In 2016, he moved to Belgium and worked on gut health for two years. He then moved to Canada in 2018 and joined the University of Alberta. There, he worked on vaccine and nutritional immunology.
Recognizing the Fraser Valley as the heart of agriculture in British Columbia, Parsa's passion for the field inspired him to relocate to Abbotsford in 2022. There, he established Parsa Consultancy and began working with Paragon Farms, various poultry and dairy farmers, and Canadian pharmaceutical companies specializing in animal health.
His main hobbies include playing volleyball, hiking, and kayaking. He has travelled to 15 countries and enjoys working with wonderful people!
We help poultry farmers reduce mortality and condemnation rates by addressing key challenges such as coccidiosis, IBH, poor feed conversion, and ineffective management practices that lead to financial losses.
With a strong focus on prevention, we combine scientific research with hands-on farm strategies. Through workshops, training sessions, farm visits, and consulting, we empower farmers to improve flock health, increase productivity, and build more sustainable operations.
